Crane Rehab Center, Pediatrics consists of a caring and dedicated team of physical therapists who work together in a positive and exciting atmosphere! We are currently looking for a Physical Therapy Technician to join our Adult Facility on River Road.

Job Summary
The Physical Therapy Technician at Crane Rehab Center, Pediatrics, assists Licensed Physical Therapists provide care for patients in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Crane Rehab Center, LLC. standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prefer college students working towards a degree in Physical Therapy or other related field.
  • Previous experience in physical therapy, rehabilitation, or other related field, a plus.

Specific Job Requirements

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and e-mail
  • Must demonstrate good body mechanics at all times
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
  • Must be knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post-acute care facility
  • Must have the ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department
  • Must perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: patient care, documentation and therapy software responsibilities, patient rights, and safety and sanitation
  • Maintains professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc...
  • Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
  • Must understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
  • Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to standard ethical practices and completes all appropriate compliance training.

Essential Functions

  • Prepare treatment rooms for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols. 
  • Prepare patients for physical therapy treatment by welcoming, comforting, providing and/or assisting patients into physical therapy apparel or apertures. 
  • Provide information to patients by answering questions and requests. 
  • Help treat patients by applying heat packs; paraffin dips; helping patients onto exercise equipment, monitoring motion; tracking walking time and distance; measuring mobility; performing prescribed exercises and strengthening techniques.

  • Educate patients by demonstrating proper use of equipment and exercise routines. 
  • Provide equipment and supplies by sterilizing and delivering equipment and supplies to treatment area; positioning equipment for therapist access; positioning patient on equipment.
  • Ensure operation of physical therapy equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instruction; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
  • Maintain physical therapy supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies. 
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. 
  • Enhance physical therapy department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. 
  • Must exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
  • Must be able to assist in the evacuation of patients
  • Must demonstrate dependable, regular attendance
  • Must be able to concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment
  • Must be able to communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team
  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

  • Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc…) most of the work day.
  • Required to exert physical effort in handling objects less than 50 pounds.
  • Required to be exposed to physical occupational risks (such as cuts, burns, etc): rarely
  • Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves chemicals, lead, dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements: rarely.
  • Normal setting for this job is:  outpatient adult physical therapy clinic.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close and Far vision.
  • The employee is frequently required to stand and walk; rarely required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually of moderate volume.

Crane Rehab Center is continuing to expand behavioral services and is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our dedicated team!

Crane Rehab Center has a full-time opportunity for a licensed, Board Certified Behavior Analyst in our pediatric clinic on Earhart Blvd. in New Orleans, LA. Crane Rehab Center is a multidisciplinary clinic that provides comprehensive treatment for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other related disorders.  In addition to Behavior Analysts our staff consists of Occupational, Speech, and Physical Therapists that have a passion for working with children of the Greater New Orleans area.

Position Summary

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is responsible for delivering high quality, evidence based treatment using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.  BCBA at Crane Rehab Center should be able to work as part of an interdisciplinary team in a variety of settings (e.g. clinic, school, and/or home). 

Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements

  • Minimum Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Credentialed and recognized as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
  • Licensed by the Louisiana Behavior Analyst Board.
  • Minimum of one year of field work is preferred.

Job Description

  • Complete skills assessment batteries such as VB-MAPP and ABLLS and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Identify functions of behaviors and design effective interventions accordingly.
  • Train and supervise registered line technicians.
  • Communicate and collaborate with families and other providers to adequately plan for client needs.
  • Conduct parent and teacher training.
  • Complete insurance authorizations and daily progress notes. 
  • Participate in community health matters/projects as appropriate.

Job Summary
The Licensed Speech- Language Pathologist at Crane Rehab Center, Pediatrics, provides direct rehab care in speech therapy to patients in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Crane Rehab Center, LLC. standards.

Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited program in speech therapy (minimum MS or MA SLP)
  • Must be currently registered/licensed in applicable State. Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment.
  • One (1) year experience in post-acute care or related setting preferred
  • Must have CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment.

Specific Job Requirements

  • Participates in community health matters/projects as appropriate. Two hours mandatory volunteer time per calendar year.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and e-mail
  • Liaisons with patients, families, support departments, etc., to adequately plan for patient needs
