Crane Rehab Center is continuing to expand behavioral services and is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our dedicated team!

Crane Rehab Center has a full-time opportunity for a licensed, Board Certified Behavior Analyst in our pediatric clinic on Earhart Blvd. in New Orleans, LA. Crane Rehab Center is a multidisciplinary clinic that provides comprehensive treatment for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other related disorders.  In addition to Behavior Analysts our staff consists of Occupational, Speech, and Physical Therapists that have a passion for working with children of the Greater New Orleans area.

Position Summary

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is responsible for delivering high quality, evidence based treatment using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.  BCBA at Crane Rehab Center should be able to work as part of an interdisciplinary team in a variety of settings (e.g. clinic, school, and/or home). 

Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements

  • Minimum Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Credentialed and recognized as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
  • Licensed by the Louisiana Behavior Analyst Board.
  • Minimum of one year of field work is preferred.

Job Description

  • Complete skills assessment batteries such as VB-MAPP and ABLLS and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Identify functions of behaviors and design effective interventions accordingly.
  • Train and supervise registered line technicians.
  • Communicate and collaborate with families and other providers to adequately plan for client needs.
  • Conduct parent and teacher training.
  • Complete insurance authorizations and daily progress notes. 
  • Participate in community health matters/projects as appropriate.

Crane Rehab Center has a full-time opportunity for a student of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)  in our pediatric clinic on Earhart Blvd. in New Orleans, LA. Crane Rehab Center is a multidisciplinary clinic that provides comprehensive treatment for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other related disorders. 

Position Summary

ABA Student Therapy Assistant will work under the direction and supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and will be responsible for implementing individualized treatment protocols, collecting and organizing data, and coordinating clinic specific events.  Hours worked are eligible for BACB approved supervision for indirect and direct therapy hours. 

ABA Student Therapy Assistant should be able to work as part of an interdisciplinary team in a variety of settings (e.g. clinic, school, and/or home). 

Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelors Degree. 
  • Enrolled in and in good standing in or completed a Masters Program in an acceptable field of study as specified by the Behavior Analysis Certification Board (BACB). 
  • Enrolled in a BACB approved course sequence and/or in the process of obtaining field experience hours necessary to sit for BACB exam. 
  • Louisiana Registered Line Technician Certification (can be obtained after start date).
  • Life Support/CPR Certification (Crane Rehab will provide upon hire). 
  • Minimum of one year of supervised work as a Registered Line Technician is preferred. 

 

Job Description

  • Implement, as directed by supervising BCBA, individualized treatment plans in a group and individual setting.
  • Collect, organize, and graph behavioral data and report interpretations to supervising BCBA.
  • Serve as liaison between supervising BCBA and other registered line technicians regarding daily clinic operations.
  • Generate ideas for programming and submit to supervising BCBA for review and approval.

Crane Rehab Center, Pediatrics consists of a caring and dedicated team of pediatric speech, physical, and occupational therapists who work together in a positive and exciting atmosphere! We are currently looking for a Speech- Language pathologist (Speech Therapist) to our growing practice.

Job Summary
The Licensed Speech- Language Pathologist at Crane Rehab Center, Pediatrics, provides direct rehab care in speech therapy to patients in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Crane Rehab Center, LLC. standards.

Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited program in speech therapy (minimum MS or MA SLP)
  • Must be currently registered/licensed in applicable State. Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment.
  • One (1) year experience in post-acute care or related setting preferred
  • Must have CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment.

Specific Job Requirements

  • Participates in community health matters/projects as appropriate. Two hours mandatory volunteer time per calendar year.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and e-mail
  • Liaisons with patients, families, support departments, etc., to adequately plan for patient needs
  • Must demonstrate good body mechanics at all times
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
  • Must be knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post-acute care facility
  • Must have the ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department
  • Must perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: patient care, documentation and therapy software responsibilities, patient rights, and safety and sanitation
  • Maintains professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc...
  • Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
  • Must understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
  • Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to standard ethical practices and completes all appropriate compliance training.

  • Must be able to follow speech therapy treatment plans for patients under direction of the supervising SLP and/ or Clinical Director, in accordance with Federal and State guidelines

  • Must exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
  • Must be able to assist in the evacuation of patients
  • Must demonstrate dependable, regular attendance
  • Must be able to concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment
  • Must be able to communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team
  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

  • Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc…) most of the work day.
  • Required to exert physical effort in handling objects less than 20 pounds.
  • Required to be exposed to physical occupational risks (such as cuts, burns, etc): rarely
  • Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves chemicals, lead, dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements: rarely.
  • Normal setting for this job is: pediatric outpatient clinic.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close and Far vision.
  • The employee is frequently required to stand and walk; rarely required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually of high volume.
